You should be. It’s raining here today, which is a downer. In between the rain showers I took to cleaning the ol’girl up. One thing I hadn’t realized is HOW MUCH I LOVE the blower then dry technique. If you’re not suing a leaf blower or master blaster to dry your car prior to drying your car, try it out!
It works really really slick and saves a lot of time. Start with any creases in the body work and work downward.

I think the C6 is better looking than the 7.

Doesn't it kick up dust which then settles back on the car?

I worry about throwing dust and dirt at high speed towards my freshly washed car...
Oh, who am I kidding, the Golf’s paint is borked anyway.

top down, the nozzle is almost always pointing at an angle towards the ground...

not in my experience, but I always do it when the cement around it is wet from washing, which I’m sure helps. I’m pretty careful about what I put a dry rag over on the car, and I haven’t had it be anything the blower kicked up. I work from the top down, angling the nozzele a bit so it’s not pointing strait down at the ground, so anything that it would blow on the ground stays on the ground and gets pushed one way or another.

The only problem with this is I do not have a yard. Purchasing a blower solely for my car(s) seems....odd?

The 7 is a goofy looking thing, but I like it.
Not sure why you would compare it to a corvette in looks though...

Very cool. I'll have to try it.

I will admit I’ve fallen in love with the air blades they have at DIY car washes now.

Cheaper than buying a blower for the car... http://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-… thus why I still make do with a leaf blower.

Yikes. So its an electric leaf blower with attachments and $200 markup?

That C6 is beautiful.

Two 4 HP motors so it’s a bit more than a leaf blower with a hose, but dang if I can get myself to buy one lol

HOLY CRAP! Must be Friday. Between you and Ken, my musings have brought out the strangest, funniest, most bizarre, weirdest replies. Damn, I love Oppo. And I think I can say (in all jest) Fuck you HHFP, and add Ken to that list as well.

You don’t need to spend a fortune on a car drying blower:

For what it’s worth, you can usually reverse the flow on a shop-vac as well, however, I’ve been cautioned by professional detailers that such a system might also expel debris that had been collected, causing the machine to act as a sand blaster.
I haven’t tested Ridgid shop vac for this yet but if the filtration on it was good enough to keep dust from being blown out, it would an added bonus.

I do this with my motorcycles before giving them the final wipe-down. Man is it handy, especially with all the nooks and crannies in and around the engine and rear swingarm areas.
